people have registered for the PM-Unauthorized Colony in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY). On October 29, 2019, the Indian government implemented PM-UDAY,
which grants property rights to residents of 1,731 unlawful colonies (UCs) in Delhi.
The PM-UDAY initiative assisted 4,19,485 people in registering and provided
ownership rights to 7,329 families residing in unauthorized colonies in Delhi. Puri, India’s housing and urban development minister, tweeted in Hindi.
